Writing an eBook Book Is As Easy As Pie

writing-an-eBook-is-EasyYou will be hard-pressed to find a website that does not offer an eBook for sale or at least a report for free if you sign up for an email list. It is almost impossible to do business without one. Information runs the online world, that is for sure.

You are writing an eBook because…

Free eBooks are a great way to get more traffic to your website. Once out there, this kind of material goes viral and you have the possibility of increasing traffic way beyond your expectations.

If you have never made an attempt at writing an eBook , then it can seem like a daunting task, but it doesn’t have to be. Writing your first eBook is as easy as pie if you use the following tips to guide you.

Tip #1 Decide on your topic. If this is your first eBook, then write about a subject area that you are familiar with. It not only makes the research and writing process easier, your passion for the subject will shine through.

Tip #2 Choose a title. When writing an eBook , keep in mind that the title may be the most important part. It needs to grab the readers attention and convey to them what the material will be about. Think of the title as a hook that reels them in and peeks their curiosity to want to learn more.

Tip #3 Write your table of contents. Your table of contents (TOC) will not only become part of your eBook, but serve as an outline for creating your content as well. You may develop subcategories, but don’t over do it. Keep your writing simple and to the point. Most people on the Internet read at an average level so write your content in a way that everyone can understand.

Tip #4 Check grammar and spelling. You want your eBook to be professional so make sure there are no mistakes. Spell check your writing and correct any grammar mistakes. If you are unsure about something, there are plenty of websites online that can help with grammar and correct usage of words.

Tip #5 Images and fonts. You can add images to your eBook, it is actually encouraged. Visuals help convey what the content is that is being read—sort of like a picture storybook. The fonts and point size needs to be pleasing to the eye. If a person has trouble reading your content, all your efforts will be wasted. Larger fonts and adequate spacing between sentences makes your eBook more readable and it looks good too.

Writing an eBook will be intimidating, but don’t let that stop you. There are so many resources out there that can help you along the way. Once your eBook is finished, you will feel pride that you now have one more avenue for generating traffic and making more money in your business. Now that you have one eBook under your belt, the next one should be easy as pie!

Green Toys Jump Rope

Green Toys Jump RopeJumping rope is a good activity. Remember it when you were a kid? You’ll find tons of people doing it in the gym. Jumping a rope is a good way to build up cardio fitness and endurance. For kids, it is a fun way to spend time outdoors at play. They get to laugh and burn calories at the same time for better health.

This is a good beginner rope for any young child. It is made in the US from 100 percent cotton. The handles are recycled plastic, specifically milk jugs. The rope measures 7 feet in length and according to the instructions it is adjustable. Your child can spend hours practicing their moves while saving the environment at the same time. Some customers have noted that the handles can be fragile if dropped repeatedly on a hard surface as some kids are likely to do.

There are three colors to choose from: Green Toys Jump Rope, Green, pink and blue. The handles are easy to grip and allow the rope to turn but not too fast for smaller kids. Good for instruction in learning to jump or skip over a rope.

Five Ways to Spend Less This Christmas

Five Ways to Spend Less This ChristmasMaking the commitment to spend less this Christmas is easy. Sticking to that commitment is the hard part. In fact, everyone has probably considered the idea on more than one occasion but fallen short of the goal. No matter how good your intentions, once the season gets in full swing a frenzied momentum can take over. Before you know it, you have spent well over your planned Spartan budget, are nowhere near finished, and are forced to postpone your frugal goals for another year.

Here are five ways to spend less this Christmas

1. Don’t go window shopping at the mall. Better yet, don’t go to the mall at all, if you can help it. Marketing execs are paid the big bucks to make you forget your ambitious plan. In fact, they spend money to learn which techniques will make you spend yours. Online shopping still pressures you into buying what you don’t want or need but it is much easier to say no from the comforts of your own living room.

2. Set a budget. This is sometimes easier said than done. Be strict with yourself. Take cash out of the bank and put that exact amount you want to spend on each person in a separate envelope. You can have a separate envelope for expenses such as stamps, wrapping paper, holiday cards, shipping costs – just don’t forget to budget for them.

3. Accept the fact that you are not perfect. Know that there are exceptions too every rule. If you see the ultimate, dream gift for someone (& can afford it), go ahead. Do not make the mistake of thinking that you need to do this for everyone, no matter how much you are tempted. You can explain that this gift is a birthday/Christmas/every-holiday-for-the-rest-of-your-life gift.

4. Don’t feel pressured to get involved with every gift giving arrangement at the office. Practice saying, “My family is really focused on not buying gifts this year”. Most people will understand. If all else fails, announce that you will be baking several dozen cookies or your grandmother’s famous fill-in-the-blank and bringing it to the office. Leave a note that reads, “Happy Holidays from the Smith Family” and make sure everyone can see it. Food always does the trick.

5. If you feel weak in the knees and don’t think you can stand up to the pressure, turn to gift cards. You can purchase them in specific dollar amounts that are within your budget and then tell everyone that you are done shopping.

Hopefully these tricks will help you avoid overspending this Christmas and finally reach your goal of spending less (much less) this holiday season.

Winter-Proof Your Home In 8 Easy Steps

winter-proof your homeThe prospect of winter-proofing your home can seem daunting, but there are easy and simple steps you can take to winter-proof your home without a complete overhaul. It does not have to be a big, expensive project. Here are some easy ways to keep out the cold out and keep in the heat.

Caulk: it’s not just for the bathroom
Caulk is an excellent and inexpensive way to seal air leaks around your home. It can be used in the attic, around non-moving window panes (particularly between the window frame and the wall), in cracks in your home’s siding, around door jambs (where they meet the wall), and even at the base of the siding where it meets the foundation.

Install a programmable thermostat
This is a simple way to ensure that your furnace will not be working to heat your home when you don’t need it. It also covers for you in case you leave the house or go to bed and forget to turn down the thermostat.

Get your furnace serviced
Keeping your furnace in top working order is important for energy saving. Make sure it is running properly before winter begins to avoid repairs in the winter, when going without central heat while awaiting repairs can be uncomfortable or even dangerous.

Put a hat on your home
Insulating your attic is like putting a winter hat on your house. It keeps heat from escaping through the roof – remember, heat rises. While you are focusing on the top of your house, check your gutters and see that they are clean and free of debris, and check your chimney for air leaks. Such leaks can be sealed easily with caulk.

Consider storm windows
Interior storm windows are an inexpensive way to keep heat from escaping, and they can be taken down when winter is over. They even come in plastic sheets which are the least expensive option.

Insulate your water pipes
One of the concerns with turning the thermostat down is freezing pipes. Pipe insulation, though, is a relatively easy way to ensure against this occurring. Pipe sleeves or tubes made of foam can be purchased at most hardware stores, and are cut so that they fit right over the pipes.

Apply weather stripping to doors and windows
Weather stripping is inexpensive and easy to apply – it should be put along the edges of windows and doors, including basement and attic windows and the garage.

Weather-proof the front door
You may want to replace your existing front door with a more energy-efficient one, or add a storm door to your current one. The most important thing is to be sure the edges of the door are tightly sealed and square, which may mean a new door and frame are necessary.

Hopefully, when you winter-proof your home with these ideas and tips, it will enable you to enjoy the winter weather without worry.
