I want to be your fairy godmother (but you can just call me mom) and I'm here to share my experiences with you along with tips and a bit of fairy dust to help you put a bit of magic into your week while struggling with the busy life of combining working from home with family and other needs. Join me today and let's share the magic!

Okay, I know your next question is:
"Just who is this Fairy Godmother?"
What I'm not: I'm not a young mom struggling to make a living while having kids to care for and entertain. I'm not going to tell you a sob story about how I had no income and suddenly found a way to make lots of money working from home.
And, no, I don't have a magic wand or a big supply of fairy dust. I have something much more useful -- knowledge and experience.
What I am: See that photo? It was taken in the early days of my current work from home business. That little gift is now 30 years old. And I won't tell you how old I am now but I was working as a homebased business owner long before the Internet became a way to do business.
My home business careers began when my two daughters were 2 and 4 and I pushed them around the town in a stroller as I campaigned for City Council. I did win and went on through the years to become a member of the Planning Commission and later the School Board.
You may not think of these elected positions as "homebased businesses" but, even though the goal isn't monetary, they are definitely operated from home.
My first business -- created to make money -- was when my girls were in high school. My husband, who was working on a forest fire in Idaho, brought home a Singles newspaper and said, "We can do this!"
And we did. With no knowledge of publishing or marketing a newspaper, we researched and learned. Starting in our local town, we expanded throughout the whole state before selling it.
Having made several profitable real estate investments, I decided to become a Realtor and became what they call a "multi-million-dollar producing" one. Even though I had a desk in my broker's office, most of the work was done from my office at home.
Bored with that, I decided to expand what had been a hobby of "making gift baskets to give as closing gifts to buyers" into a business. It began as a local gift basket company but has expanded into a national gift service with customers from all over the world.
But that wasn't the last homebased endeavor. I added a digital magazine and directory for the gift basket industry to the mix. Grew them for 13 years but became aware that I was reaching a small niche. Sharing my knowledge to a broader base would help many more people.
And that broader base if YOU -- whether you are a young mother struggling to combine the challenges of business, home, and family to those of you who are seniors that want to begin again with a business to help supplement that social security check.
I won't end this with a long detailed mission statement. Even though I've started and grown into much more more than I had dreamed of so many years ago, I still prefer to keep it simple.
My mission is simply to be your Fairy Godmother as I share with you what I have learned along the way. Nothing less. Old-fashioned Perhaps. But that’s who I am and that’s what this website is all about.
